New Wave Opera, in partnership with Oregon Humane Society and with generous funding from the Regional Arts & Culture Council, presented a winter double-bill of two family-friendly operas: Pepito (Nicolás Lell Benavides & Marella Martin Koch) and Meow and Forever (Jodi Goble & Basil Considine). The program also featured live ASL interpretation on the Saturday evening performances, and raised funds for OHS through ticket sales. New Wave Opera returned to classical music hotspot, Mendelssohns, for an evening of animal-inspired operatic music and beyond! This animal-inspired program shared excerpts from an upcoming double bill (Pepito by Nicolás Lell Benavides & Marella Martin Koch and Meow and Forever by Jodi Goble & Basil Considine), and featured performers Lisa Neher, Lindsey Rae Johnson, Henriet Fourie-Thompson, and pianist Susan McDaniel.
