Jeffrey Puukka is a theatre director of Finnish and Irish roots, headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, and is delighted to collaborate with New Wave Opera!
Some favorite projects from more than twenty years of directing include productions of THE THIRD PLACE by Niels Truman, DITCHED by William Thomas Berk (for Chapel Theatre); Steven Dietz’ THIS RANDOM WORLD, Polly Teale’s MERMAID (for Metropolitan Performing Arts); BARDO (in collaboration with dance artist and actor Lyra Butler-Denman); Tennessee Williams’ A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE (for SAT); David Adjmi’s Elective Affinities (for Save World Art and Worcester Productions at Edinburgh Fringe); and his own adaptations of Bram Stoker’s masterwork DRACULA, and WOMEN OF TROY inspired by Euripides.
