Kaylee Bonatakis is a versatile percussionist and passionate music educator in the Willamette Valley. An active performer of many musical genres, she regularly performs with Portland Samba, freelances with local orchestras, and plays drum kit in various bands. She serves on the Salem advisory committee to the Oregon Symphony, and is on the organizing team for Salem Make Music Day.
Kaylee first moved to Oregon in 2013 to serve in Music Across Oregon, an Americorps outreach program that provides rural underserved school districts access to quality music education. She now resides in Salem, where she teaches PreK-5th grade music at the Young Voyagers and Little Friends Montessori schools. Kaylee holds an MA in Music Performance from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a BM in Music Performance from the University of Central Florida. She studied under Bonnie Whiting, Morris Palter, Jeffrey Moore, Thad Anderson, and Kirk Gay. Learn more about Kaylee Bonatakis at the following links:
