Jena Slater

Jena Slater is a classically trained singer, actor, and sound healer with her Masters of Music from the Boston Conservatory and sound healing certification from the Integrative Healing Academy.
Her ability to transcend genre has led to roles such as Little Red Riding Hood in “Into the Woods”, Lapak the Dog in Janacek’s “The Cunning Little Vixen” (performed in it’s native Czech language), Lucretia in Britten’s “The Rape of Lucretia”, and Melisande in Debussy’s “Pelleas et Melisande” to name a few of her favorites. As a native Oregonian, she has had the pleasure of performing with companies such as Portland Opera, Opera Theatre Oregon, Stumptown Stages, Lakewood Theatre, Experience Theatre Project, as well as Divergent Opera through which she produced several accessible semi-staged recitals and a short film, “Eve Song Project”, funded by a grant from the Chicago Academy of the Arts in collaboration with Disability Arts and Culture Project.
